8.Fiber
Fiber consists of the parts of plant foods that the body doesn't digest. This material furnishes bulk, or roughage, that is essential for the normal functioning and health of the intestinal tract. Good sources of fiber include fresh fruit (with the skin on), vegetables, and baked goods and cereals made with whole-grain flours.
It helps to prevent constipation, hemorrhoids and other intestinal problems. Fiber has been associated with a reduced incidence of colon cancer.
